Five33 Tiny Trainer RS Edition

I liked the features of the new Five33 Tiny Trainer V2 (https://flyfive33.com/tiny-trainer-v2-beauty-page/), with the “flip open canopy” and easy access to electronics and USB ports.

In stead of spending more hard earned cash, I created my own version, that transforms my V1 Tiny Trainer in to a “sort of V2” (or V2 Wannabe :) ).  The original carbon frame was knept.

All 3D printed parts are designed from scratch, with only the good looks of the Tiny Trainer as inspiration. The Canopy covers the flight controller stack for extra protection. 

PETG is a good choice due to high impact strength and flexibility. It can be printed transparent to use the LED lighting kits for the model.

The fins in the back are printed in TPU (98A), and the same goes for the antenna mount. In addition to the antenna mount for the micro Lollipop antenna there is a version with Integrated mount for a 2.4G mini T-style antenna (ELRS).

The canopy is designed to fit the HDZERO VTX and HDZERO Runcam Nano camera (and has adjustability to fit many other 14mm wide cameras).

The carbon frame has gotten two slots milled to accept regular 10mm wide battery straps. (this can also be done with a drill bit and a needle file).

It is possible to use the original style TPU “battery tray”, but I did not like that is was difficult to use different shaped batteries.

For hardware, mostly some M2 bolts, M2 brass inserts (se picture) and some 2mm self tapping screws where used.
