Gridfinity Modern Pocket Valet (Old Version)

This is “another” gridfinity pocket/desk valet.

File Naming

Files are named simply: Grid indicates a gridfinity base, Bowl is a widget that has a curved (bowl-shaped) interior, Straight is a widget with straight interior sides. This is followed by 1, 2, or 3 sets of numbers (eg, 2x3x1).  The first number represents the gridfinity depth of the widget as a multiple of 7.  So, 2 means a depth of 14mm.  The second number represents the number of gridfinity columns (regardless of how you decide to orient the widget into the grid), and the third number represents the number of gridfinity rows.

Mix and Match

In many cases you may want to stay with a single height (such as 2) and then mix both “Bowl” and “Straight” widgets into your valet.  You may want to have several different heights or whatever you want.

Printing

No supports should be used for any of the models.

Gridfinity (locking mechanism)

While these Gridfinity widgets (profiles) are fully compatible with the “standard”, baseplate grids are provided that allow you to lock these widgets into the grid.

Hint: you may only need to use a single “lock” (which is actually just a thumbnail screw) for each of your grid-widgets.

2023-02-08: Added more grid widgets. Behind the scenes made it easier to create the multitude of different sized widgets.

2023-02-07: Major rework so all of the widgets are now compatible with “standard” gridfinity.  You may even include magnets if you wish.  There is a completely new “locking” mechanism, which is actually just a thumbnail screw that you use to fasten the widgets into the included bases.
