Available for purchase on my store for folks without access to a printer.

If you race in UCI sanctioned cyclocross events, then you're likely aware of the 33mm tire width limit. This is a tool to quickly check that tires do not exceed that limit and is very similar to what you would see in coverage of pro races such as the World Cup.

Now also available in a 38mm width for anyone who participates in USA Cycling where wider tires are allowed, such as masters and junior racing. This version has an extra cutout in the outside for quicker identification - a smooth outside is 33mm, the outside with the stepped channel is 38mm. Color coding is more obvious, but having the additional verification (along with the actual text marking) is good as well.

Print instructions:

Simple print, no supports needed, layer height is whatever you choose, I use 0.3mm on my Prusa MK3S with a 0.4mm nozzle.

Design history:

Very heavily influenced by this design by NickSalter88, although with a couple adjustments for nicer printing without supports - the top of the handle has a 45 degree angle vs. full rounds which are harder to print nice. Added chamfers and widened the opening to act as a guide, and changed the text in the grip to “33mm”. Listing this as a remix of that one even though it only provided inspiration for a ground-up design.

Another nice option is this design by alga42, the grip is really nice, but would require quite a bit of support unless you split the model in two and printed the two halves flat, which is easy to do in PrusaSlicer.
