This is a further improved version of the herringbone gear-bearing design I've seen around. This design has a backlash of 0.25mm. It has a slightly chamfered lip to reduce the play in it and make it more stable.
So that you can use this in other mechanical parts, I'm also sharing the STEP and parametric On Shape design. Please do use and remix to your heart's desire.
This model is, of course, print in place with no assembly required, so make sure your printer has decently tuned tolerances.
I'm sharing this under a CC-Attribution so feel free to use this in any commercial/for-profit parts. Although, I would appreciate a heads-up if you want to use this in a commercial setting. I'd love to hear about how my designs are being used.
