When I was a kid my parents had one of these curiosities made out of wood. It was always fun to see people look at it and wonder how the ball got inside.
I just couldn't resist designing my own version and here it is.
After printing, place it on a shelf and see if visitors wonder how you were able to get the ball inside.
Print settings
Layer height: 0.2
Infill: 15%
Supports: No
Removing the provided support requires the following steps:
- Hold the cage in one hand and with the other slowly twist the ball. This will release the support from the cage.
- Now, insert a small screwdriver or similar tool between the ball and support and slowly twist the tool while holding the ball. The support will easily release from the ball.
- You will need to cut away at the support to safely remove it from the cage. It is a bit annoying, but easy and doesn't take long.
