I have two of the below 1U rack mounts. I found that as most of what I build I had a part that I could not use due to the way I ran electrical wires. Of the 5 PI mounts with SSDs I put it on the bottom shelf of the Lack Enclosure I built and keep seeing that it was just taking up space on the shelf. I took the measurements and had a couple of m3 by 4 inserts so off to Fusion 360 I went.
I took the measurements off the 1U rail, the distance from threads to threads. Printed v1 in orange and v3 in black which is what I have included here. The orange version I will be able to use and as I have time or requests. I'll create a version with our the full set of sides as it take about 17 hours to print.
I have included the link to the 1U rail below. I have HA, PiHole, and a generic server running in the 19 inch rack. I am now able to get the OctoPi off the shelf and in a safe place that wont go flying or get in the way of spools on the shelf.
