Important: this is the last improved version of my lifter with the use of a threaded rod instead of a 3D printed screw.

More info about parts and links to buy on my OpenRC Tractor BOM spreadsheet.

Watch the video in action: OpenRC Tractor lifter

Note: this is not a recent new design. It was published (in another platform) in 2021 but I'm revising and uploading all my OpenRC Tractor designs to printables. I recently joined printables and I liked it so much, I decided to upload my designs here.

Some of the desings will have modifications or improvements but some of them won't because they work fine just like they are.

But don't worry, I'll keep designing new tools and addons for those who already have all OpenRC Tractor collection.

Another OpenRC Tractor tool is out! I present…THE LIFTER

Be prepared to have lots of fun with this new OpenRC Tractor tool. You can use it in combination with the trailer and load and unload pallets or other tools. The pallet is also available!!

List of materials:

IMPORTANT: Connecting two esc’s with the same battery can cause problems if they don’t match. Please, make sure it’s safe to connect them together or you may damage your electronics.

In addition to the esc controller for the tractor motors, you’ll need a motor esc controller for the lifter motor. As I want to control both of them with the same radio and use the same battery, I bought the two esc controllers from the spreadsheet that are basically the same but one of them has brake (for the tractor) while the other doesn’t (for the lifter motor).

You’ll need a radio combo that lets you control the lifter motor. Not all RC radios allow this. In my case I use the Radiolink RC6GS from the spreadsheet I connect the lifter motor ESC to channel 4 and control it with a potentiometer.

Lipo batteries must be treated with care, please follow the manufacturer instructions and read FAQ section where I talk more about LIPO batteries.
