Purpose

E3D launched an improved Hemera a few months back, with different motor mounting points. Thus the BearMera was not compatible with the Hemera XS. I wanted to put the E3D Hemera XS Revo on my Prusa, so I modified the original files, to add support.

I encourage you to check out the fantastic work of Grégoire Saunier's work on the BearMera and BearExxa. At no point do I take credit for his work, all I have done is slightly modify the mount to support the E3D Hemera XS. :)

Changes

  • ‘pinda_mount’
    • Shrunk to account for the smaller Hemera XS motor. (remains in the same offset)
  • ‘body_front’
    • Changed to use a countersunk 8mm M3 bolt to screw into the motor, to avoid conflict with the fan
    • Changed sizing to account for the smaller motor
    • Second screw removed that screws into ‘body_back’ to avoid conflict with the new positioning of motor wires
  • ‘body_back’
    • Removed screw point for second screw from ‘body_back’ to avoid conflict with position of Hemera XS wires
    • Wiring path modified for motor wires, now completely hidden

Otherwise, all other BearMera/BearExxa parts are original and should be downloaded from: here for the MK3/S and here for the MK2/2.5/S. You of course don't need ‘pinda_mount', ‘body_front’ or ‘body_back’. These should be replaced by my respective counterparts: ‘pinda_mount_xs’, ‘body_front_xs’ and ‘body_back_xs’.
