Here is a free-standing holder for 3mm diameter pre-wired LED lights which can be useful for the interior illumination of model buildings, etc.
The LED lights I am using are from EDGELEC on Amazon, come pre-wired with a resistor and 8" leads. Currently 50 pieces for less than USD $10. They are listed as 12V but will run on 4.5V-12V.
The light and resistor portion is a snug fit in the base, and the shade is a snug fit on the base top.
By printing the shades with varying infill, or changing the filament with Z, the illumination can be varied. The shades could be painted as well. I show an example of using black filament on the shade top to block light going towards the roof.
