This is a coupler meant to be used in combination with the fantastic Nespresso Vertuo Pod tracks published by ecarlson8 here:

This coupler reinforces the joint of two track pieces, wrapping around the track. The coupling has a cutout for a flat disc magnet. Together this allows the track to be mounted vertically to the side of a fridge or other magnetic surface.
I used these magnets specifically, which measure 32 mm in diameter and 3 mm thick.
