I tried printing the popular MK8 toolhead by moderntinkerer, but had several issues with it, so I decided to make my own. Improvements in this design include:
- Rear heat-set inserts for the hotend mounting screws
- Better nozzle height for part cooling
- Proper clamping of the bottom of the heatsink
- Printability improvements (no more floating holes, removed the floating “island” on the fan intake chamfer)
- Corrected the font of the ID marking
