Logic Analyzer Case

A Digital Logic Analyzer is a Computer Engineer's best friend. Not necessarily your wallet's best friend though :( Thankfully, they do make cheap logic analyzers that work surprisingly well for 90% of hobby projects. 

I designed a case for the little analyzer that also contains some test probes and some wires, so that I can pack it with me easily.

Parts I used

I designed this enclosure for the following parts:

• Cheap Logic Analyzer (Compatible w/ Saleae Logic)
• 10x Logic Analyzer Probes + Wires
• 3x1mm magnets

These are not affiliate links, they're just what I bought. These probes are pretty long, so if yours are shorter then they should fit quite nicely.

Assembly Considerations

The lid snaps onto the case using 3x1 mm magnets, which are super compact and easy to integrate into the design. I did not add pegs because the magnets do a decent job at holding the lid in place. If you do not have magnets, you may add pegs to the design to hold the pieces in place. I was just lazy … I may add them in a future revision.

The parametric configurations change the text on the top lid to be embossed (extruded), debossed, or suppressed completely. The shared design files correspond to these variants. Feel free to copy it and make enhancements as you see fit, in accordance with the license below.

Printing with Color Change

PrusaSlicer has a nice feature that allows you to change the filaments at the layer-granularity, which makes for some very cool text effects. The embossed variant of the design would look the best with this, but the debossed variant is easier to print with the text-face on the print plate. If you prefer no text at all, that variant is also included.
