I printed this model in PLA and it eventually snapped where the buckle deforms to fasten (circled in red). While this design is fine for injection molded polymers like nylon, it'll wear 3d printed materials with less durability. I lengthened the 2mm thick section by using the wasted space within the buckle. This slightly reduces the outward force, but it also makes it feel less like you're going to break it when unfastening the buckle.
