I made another case for using an espcam to read watermeter values using AI on the edge.
Why?
The other cases would not fit my watermeter. Mine is roughly 77mm on the top side and it has a lid with a hinge.
My adaptor ist 76,5mm so it fits tightly.
I also added some slotted holes to the mounting tabs of the espcam case. This way you can adjust the position vor different legths of camera cables.
The bottom of the watermeter lid is chamfered. This makes it easier to adjust the focus of the espcam.
The distance from cam to watermeter is about 60mm.
For me this is the perfect ditance to reduce reflections.
The camera hole is slightly offset. This makes it easier to adjust the camera over the dials of the meter.
You will need two M3 nuts and two M3/12mm bolts to mount the cam to the lid.
I printed it in PLA and PETG, standard settings work fine.
In the 3MF file everything is aligned the way I printed it.
No supports needed, but maybe a raft for the adaptor tube.
