Description from original model by BayneSolo on thingiverse:
A simple Joystick mount for my HOTAS on my DxRacer Chair.
Provides a fairly sturdy platform with a little bit of play on the x axis but unoticable in use.
Print Settings
Printer:
TronXY X1
Rafts:
No
Supports:
Yes
Resolution:
0.25mm
Infill:
30
Notes:
Printed in PLA, no problems with strength as the wood reinforces it.
Important
Print the "Throttle V3" file once in normal orientation and again mirrored along the long axis.
Elbow and Top also needed to be printed twice, not worrying about mirroring.
Orientation
Throttle V3: With the thin slot facing upwards
Elbow V2: A pyramid type orientation with the flat edge of the supporting arm adhearing to the build platform
Top V2: With the flat top on the platform.
Post-Printing
Wood
The wood I used is 30x30mm and the project uses roughly 0.5m
Screws
There are 28 screw holes in total but honestly not all need to be used, the screw holes are ~3mm with the washer holes being 10mm.
Assembly
To assemble, file the insides of the 3d prints to remove some of the ridging making it easier to slide the wood in.
With a file, slightly file down the square edges of the wood due to 3d printers innability to create perfectly square corners,
When assembled, drill holes and screw together, attach to the chair and mount the HOTAS on top (I just use BluTack which is strong enough)
Cable Management
I use a USB hub on the bottom of the chair meaning I can quick disconnect the chair from the computer.
