together with the cool display case of @ywabiko: https://www.printables.com/model/85020-waveshare-7-hdmi-lcd-h-case
Several benefits:
- VESA75 and VESA100 have now larger holes for heat inserts
- added two legs that hold the display a bit more upright (70° with the desk plane)
- the raspberry case can be mounted in 4 positions, to allow for better cable management
- added shims (upper and bottom) to fit the raspberry case
- closed some holes of the case back, added more for better venting
BOM:
- 8x M3 brass heat inserts for all VESA holes (any is good, even 5.7mm long ones)
- 2x M3 8mm socket head screws that hold the legs
- 8x M3 12mm socket head screws that hold the legs and the display case togehter
Print the two legs, 2 bottom shims and 4 top shims, 3 perimeters and 15% infill should be fine. If you print the legs like in the picture, you do not need supports. See pic on where the screws go in.
