For geocaching, the original textured screw cap container works great, provided you either hide it well or add a loop for hanging it up. But it is a bit small. So to add a little more room for note paper and a less stubby pencil, this seemed like a good compromise.
It is the same container, doubled up and threaded female on one half, male on the other. Double the storage, double the cache size.
I inset lanyard loops in the “bottom” of each half, so if you want you can put one big loop through and around both to keep the two halves together.
