This Pi Camera mount attaches to the Ender 3 base plate, via the corner leveling screw hole. Then it extends all the way out to be just out of reach of the extruder cage.
Angled to point directly at the middle of the print bed, with just enough height to check on that oh-so-important first layer. OpenSCAD file provided so you can adjust all the parameters to get it to point how you like it.
Prints in 2 parts. The base plate attachment should probably be printed in PETG or something more heat resistant, in order to isolate the 2nd part, which can be printed in PLA. The 2 attach via 3mm screw and heat set insert.
I chose to drill a 2nd 5mm hole in the base plate to ensure stability, but you probably don't need it.
