The Stern-Wheeler has successfully buffered a handful of prints now, so I figured I'd share my mods on the awesome design:
1. I wanted to mount it with the wheel at the bottom for short PTFE-lengths and organzied guiding. So I added two of the little ears to both the lane and the cover.
2. This thing is part of a multi-color printer (ERCF in my case) so it might as well be colorful :D Plus the way it sits on my printer, I am looking at the lane's bottom... So I split the lane into individual piece to print them in more than one color. (I actually printed three or four of the lanes with the three colors of my Voron 2.4 color scheme, but that was totally unnecessary^^)
3. The mounting bracket collides with the Sturdy Handles so I cut a piece out to make space for it. It even alligns well: Sturdy Handle centered on the 350mm and the Stern Wheeler 'around' the Sturdy Handle's rear mounting point.
