Helps to reduce hay, also allows stimulation while they nudge it around.
If your pet starts to chew the feeder, probably best to remove it or introduce other things for them to chew on, as plastic probably isn't good for them to ingest.
Two versions available, one with all holes open, one with half the holes filled. I made the open one first, and my wife said the guinea pigs still wasted a fair amount, so I made one with half the holes filled. Our guinea pigs are still young, so smaller pets could probably do with the half filled one, while larger pets would probably be better with the all open one. YMMV.
Screw and lid are the same for both body styles.
Assembled, the hay feeder measures ~157mm tall x 95mm wide (standing). (**Screw is shorter than in the photos, I reduced the length of the screw when I made the half-filled body model)
Be mindful of your cooling and small perimeter speeds.
