Some of us like printing big, or filaments with large particles, or just generally hate clogs, and with that comes using larger nozzles.

This is a merger of the current 1.7.1 stock Bambu start/end GCode, ThruTheFrame's improvements, and tjb1's stacked prime line (with correct line width), all for a 0.6mm nozzle.  Enjoy the best settings our community has to offer for big printing.

Key highlights over stock Bambu Lab code:

  • Maximizes use of the build plate - no more ripping off the side/corner prime line for big prints
  • Faster, more reliable filament changes with a cleaner wipe (with AMT code, see below)
  • Less heat buildup, important for PLA/PETG printing
  • And much much more… review the notes from the remixed sources for details.

To install. choose one of two options:

  • Use the 3MF file to load the printer, filament, and process profiles.   Save these as user presets to use them in other prints, or remove the sample objects and add your own.
  • Import the zipped JSON files and select as user presets.

Sample material profiles at multiple layer heights for PLA and PETG (Overture), originally based on the work of OurAngryBadger.  Motion values should be very similar between 0.4mm and 0.6mm nozzles - if you're having print quality issues with the bigger nozzle, run a max flow test, not all filaments can keep up.

Optional, but I highly suggest adding AMT's improved filament change GCode - it's a drop-in replacement for the stock Bambu code (their license does not permit remixing, so you will need to do this yourself).  Follow their instructions, but I have included where to put this in the machine profile.  Remember also to adjust your filament change time in the basic information of the printer profile to help improve the slicer's estimate of printing times.

Speeds were tested on aftermarket hardened CHT nozzles, but profiles are tuned for the stock nozzle.  You can increase these to 30-32mm^3/sec in many cases with the mod, depending on the filament.

Designed and tested in OrcaSlicer, they load into Bambu Studio and should work but have not been tested further.  Please also note this is not expected to be usable on a P1P/P1S.

Future versions will include additional profiles for specific filaments and other material types - feedback is always welcome.
