All V2 Superchargers in Europe are equipped with a Mennekes Type 2 cable. Unfortunately, the bracket responsible for securing this cable in its stall has been prone to breakage, inconveniencing users who are left with no choice but to leave the cable on the ground.
If that's the case for your local Supercharger and Tesla fails to address the problem promptly, you can do so with a bit of positive vandalism.
I now carry a few of these prints in my car, in case I run into another broken stall.
Replacement Instructions
Replacing this bracket is straightforward, all you need is a Torx 10 screwdriver. Simply remove the damaged bracket by unscrewing it and replace it with the 3D-printed alternative.
Printing Instructions
- I have successfully printed these replacements using PLA, and they have held up well thus far. However, for enhanced durability, a more robust material like ABS is recommended
- Set 100% infill for maximum strength
- Use supports on build plate only
- I oriented it with the side that will touch the stall against the build plate
