The original case was designed to slide into the slot on an Ender 3 frame.
I remixed the original model to attach it to the rail slot using M5 bolts and T-Nuts versus the original rail design. Bolting stops the case from sliding along the rail after installation and it allows installing or removing the case without first removing any end-cap or cover from the extrusion. [I copied (cut & paste) the bracket that I used here, from this model: https://www.printables.com/model/242024-raspberry-pi-4b-octoprint-case-with-fan]
I also made these changes to the original model:
- Cut a very small additional notch in the SD card cutout on the bottom piece, so that I could more easily get my thumbnail onto the SD card's ridge, when removing the card.
- Added ventilation slots to the front of the case, which further improve cooling and provide a line of sight to the red & green leds, if the case is printed in non-transparent filament.
I mount this remixed case to my CR6-SE, installing the Pi4B under the TFT display.
I believe this case will mount onto any printer assembled from slotted aluminium extrusions and having 130mm or more of contiguous slot space.
As with the original, this case bolts together with 4 x M2.5 bolts, of length anywhere between 12 and 20mm. It accepts a 30mm fan which bolts into place with M2 or M2.5 bolts & nuts.
Best printed in a transparent filament, like the Transparent Black PETG that I used, here.
