Pull a string that loops through both handles on opposite sides and both holes of the disk. Give it a few loops and pull the handles apart, or if you are not using the handles, just pull on the string and watch it spin up. Release tension once it starts to spin back up and again apply tension once it slow down. Sort of a yo-yo
I recommend to use the “crank” file and a thin string, it spins way better. Using the one made for shoe strings was not that successful, as the shoe string weighs too much vs the disk and it wont spin up as well.
Needs no supports, can use any resolution as long as it stays together
