I was introduced to a paper version of an orasu sheet during the first ever World Riichi Championship 2014 in Paris, France. Seeing the amount of paper that was used I wanted to develop a reusable orasu "sheet" to use be used in riichi mahjong games.
The size of the box that I have uploaded was designed for tiles that are 19mm wide (27x19x15mm) so there is room for 6 tiles next to each other when discarding.
The majority of riichi sticks should fit in the slots made for them.
For the reusable sheet I used 2mm thick white acrylic sheet (97x97mm) that I cut on a tablesaw, both the sides and the grooves in the top level to divide the sheet in the four areas. This can also be solved with a hobbyknife and a some marking tape or similar.
