Description:
Want an easy way to mount something to the side of your Ender 3 S1? Here is a basic mount that clips onto the side extrusions which can be customised to suit your needs by modifying the included STEP file, adding mounting holes or whatever else you would like.
If modifying the file isn't an option, simply print the plain stl and glue whatever you want to mount to the clip, like I did here:
Printing Instructions:
- Material: Any. I used PLA here which is flexible enough to clip onto the side without breaking the part.
- Layer height: 0.2mm
- Walls/ Perimeters: >2
- Infill: Any >5%
- Supports: None.
- Brim: Yes/No. Best orientation would be to print on its side, a brim will help with bed adhesion since the walls are rather thin, however, it is not strictly necessary.
Installation:
To install, fit the fins into the grooves on the side extrusions of the printer and press the clip onto the printer firmly. You may have to bend the hooked part slightly.
