A Fruit Fly Fright Night, a spooky solution to those pesky fruit fly infestations! This unique fruit fly trap is designed especially for repurposing Bonne Maman jam jars, turning them into a perfect blend of functionality and Horror/Halloween-inspired decor.
There are three hauntingly captivating models to choose from:
- the Pumpkin head with its welcoming open mouth
- the silhouette of an eerie haunted house
- the imposing Castle Grayskull from H-man
Each design promises no escape for those tiny intruders once they venture inside. At the core of these designs is a meticulously designed funnel, ensuring that while fruit flies can easily enter their spooky doom, they'll find it challenging to leave.
To make the trap effective, simply fill your Bonne Maman jam jar one-third full with a tempting bait such as pure apple cider vinegar. For enhanced effectiveness, add a drop or two of dish soap, which breaks the liquid's surface tension, ensuring any curious fruit fly is swiftly captured.
Beyond its effectiveness, the Fruit Fly Fright Night is also a statement of sustainability.
Perfect for any kitchen, pantry, or dining area. Easy to print, assemble, and sure to be a conversation starter!"
There is also just a lid if you do not want to scare the fruit flies.
Print Instruction:
All models print without support, except the Pumpkin head.
I have yet to print Castle Grayskull, but I think it will print without supports, if you do not mind a rough back side.
Use a brim if you like, I didn't .
Assembly
Just insert and twist the top on the lid. For the Pumpkin Head you will need the connector ring. If the fit of the ring to the head is to tight, just trim a little bit of the inside of the Pumpkin Head with your favourite deburring blade. Use a drop of glue to connect the stem to the Pumpkin Head.
