I recently bought a set of wooden toy tracks and trains from eBay (ostensibly for my daughter, but I'm really just an overgrown kid).
One particular track had a broken pin, and I made a pin to replace it.
To fix mine, I drilled a small hole where the broken pin was, and then I attached the replacement part with a bit of pressure and wood glue.
