Landing gear alternative insert for the AtomRC Killer Whale that allows for flush mounting of the combined Matek Systems Optical Flow and Lidar sensor. As a fixed-wing, only the lidar is of use, so a hole for the lidar sensor is included in the model. There is provision for a standard M3 heat-set insert to be included in the top of the part.
Fusion 360 file is included if you want to make modifications!
Printing:
- Any material is fine, I used PLA
- Print with the bottom face on the print bed
Assembly:
- Secure the sensor with two M3x4 mm fixings
- The wires can be routed using the cable routing in the model
- Some minor foam cutting may be required to make the part fit flush
