Water pipe, works well for smoking, the carb is the left nostril. Right-handed version, can be mirrored for left-handers

This is based from one of my earliest models, when I first got into printing; I've fixed it up a lot. I am now refining it, final version coming soon. Almost no need for supports at this point, except for the upper teeth, which I will fix for the final product. For now, I suggest minimal custom supports, just for the teeth to print. Fits standard size downstem. When I make the final version, I plan to remodel the (mouthpiece) stem, so that it will be the tail, instead of just sticking out from the back of the head. I will also include a removable hat, and built-in supports for the teeth, to simplify printing. Functions very well… of course, you should add a little water, and also, if you plan to use it, be sure to print with a food-safe material, The ones in the pictures are made from ABS, which works best in my opinion. The skin-colored ones are printed with an sla printer (using food-grade resin), much less durable but better-looking in my opinion. The left nostril functions as a carb. The big one is just a somewhat scaled-up in size, you can scale it up right in the slicer, it still has a usable size for the downstem, since the regular model is pretty tight fit. which I will include eventually as well (a separate larger size file), when I update to the final files (eventually). But this one i just scaled right in the slicer, still works just fine. The ones on the cover are petg, with a TPU hat (work in progress), and I use a 3d printing pen with pla for the finishing details as shown there. There is currently no included .gcode file. Because I was testing a new Easythreed printer, and I was using the correlating “easyware” to slice it, which this forum is rejecting:

[Error: The uploaded file format is not supported or the file is corrupted

  • hippo_v1_easythreed.gcode
File contains unsupported code "F300" on line 730181]

Whenever I'm able to finish the final files, I'll use cura… So I guess there's something wonky with the .gcode, this time, unfortunately . Printed fine on the Easythreed at any rate, so I think it's no problem. But it won't let me upload it now, my apologies.

Oh, at any rate, just to be clear: just print upright, the flat bottom should be where it touches the build plate. :)
