Found this folding chair which has a couple broken plastic pieces. Decided to model the replacement and install.

While out for a stroll one night, we spotted this folding chair set out in the  trash. Noticed that two corner plastic brackets were broken.  Decided to challenge modelings replacement and use the opportunity to teach my son the fine art.

Model was completely designed in Tinkercad. All versions of both file designs are included in case what you see doesn't quite match your chair. The enhanced version is based on my original model, but with additional panels in the model so that each bolt you use has attachments at both ends, hopefully making it stronger and last longer.

The Red photo is the Enhanced model in the same perspective as the Green photo, which is the simpler layout.

I used stainless M5 bolts of various lengths and had to drill out the chair legs slightly in order to make them fit. Assembled with my lock nuts with washers at each end.  M4 would probably be sufficient for this application, and would not require so much drilling, but I wanted to be extra careful. The enhanced model has a cutout to make room for the screw head which makes it easier to assemble.

I used rectilinear grid support as those seem to remove the easiest. Support are only needed for the arched portion of the model.

Definitely print this in PETG or anything strong you have. PLA can be too brittle for something as critical as this.
