Ikea Mittled Shims

I installed 2x Ikea Mittled 40cm light bars into my Original Prusa Enclosure by attaching them to the existing holes in the ceiling. Since the LED bars are only loosly fitting on their mounts and can move left and right I noticed that sometimes they start rattling at certain printer speeds.

This is why I created these shims in different thicknesses (0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5mm) to be fitted between the LED bars and the metal of the enclosure. By pushing in one from both ends towards the mounting clip, any play can be removed and the bars stay in place and stop rattling.

I created different thicknesses because on the rear bar there is a bit more sag in the center of the enclosure since I have my filament spool sitting on top, so the gap on either side is a bit thicker.

My plan was to print the different sizes for testing and then print the proper thickness for all four positions but in the end I just used the four samples and pushed the thinner ones further towards the center of the bars until everything was snug. They can be pushed in without uninstalling the LED bars.

Printed in Extrudr Flex Semisoft with 0.1mm layer height.

I printed it on the textured PEI sheet but the parts are sticking pretty firm to it, probably better to print it on the smooth PEI sheet with separator glue stick applied.
