Turn your Christmas LED string lights into glowing baubles
Parameters which i used for baubles:
- 1.0mm nozzle
- 0.1-0.5mm layer height
visual effect depend from layer height -
try different and decide which is your personal the best - Vase Mode
- Transparent (well dried) PET-G for maximum clarity
Parameters wchich i used for hooks:
- 0.4mm nozzle
- 0.2mm layer height
- PET-G
Additional INFO:
- I used 1mm nozzle for hardness of baubles and my pets safety
- The inner diameter of neck of the bauble i printed is around 8mm.
If you will use 0.4mm nozzle the diameter will be around 9.2mm.
If you need more or less space for your LED light you can scale model in X and Y axis in slicer. - The difference between nozzle diameters is because parts was printed on two different printers in the same time.
- Baubles and hooks are in two files. You can split them in PrusaSlicer
- Hook stiffness can be adjusted by scaling in Z-axis in PrusaSlicer. Stock 2mm height is ok but for havier baubles i suggest 3mm. More than 3mm can not fit with cables inside bauble neck.
HOW TO INSTALL IT?
0. Prepare bauble and hook
1. Put the hook on the cable
2. Put LED light bulb inside bauble
3. Squeeze the hook gently
4. Insert the hook inside bauble
5. Enjoy the view
