The lamp is controlled via touchless light sensors which are fitted behind this part.
I don't know exactly if the sensors detects more or less light, when you put your hand in front of it, because there is also a LED directly beneath the sensors. But what I know is, that the lamp can not be controlled anymore because the original part is not letting enough light through after some years.
So I made this replacement part, which is my first time 3D modelling and I used the (according to all the Youtubers) easiest tool for the job https://cad.onshape.com/documents/f26db4e506d2b641e24c51ee/w/81d9a82647d2aa0a8e74d713/e/f7e74894522f17305ef61d7b?renderMode=0&uiState=65a8202cc16ffd46e9711354
Printed with the tips from https://blog.prusa3d.com/3d-printed-lens-and-other-transparent-objects_31231/ and https://www.printables.com/model/273948-test-model-for-transparent-petg-printing
I used Amazon Basics transparent PETG. Most importantly, the infill direction has to be 90° and I printed it laying on the side with the best results. But tried multiple times to find the best configuration.
