This is the slimmest riser with hinges i could come up with, i like the sleek and minimalistic look to it.

Video Demo

i hated taking on and off the K1 lid and don’t like any of the hinges that printables has to offer, i tried for almost 2weeks to come up with something better but no printed hinges were small enough and strong enough to hold the lid. i literally came up with this 2days ago and been in love, doesn't take long to print probably about 4hrs. Just used some gaffers tape as the hinges, surprisingly everything holds well even when printing at high temps the tape holds it.

Things you will need:

** "K1 Lid Riser V2.2" still working on how to upload the stl it's not uploading the way i sliced it in orca but you can see in the last photos i added a negative cylinder and cube to add the screw hole.**

  1. Download “K1 Lid Riser V2.2” - Glue all the pieces together
  2. Download “Space Bar” - Use Double sided sticky mount to mount it to the left side of the riser inside (this is to reduce the noise because the cable chain would get caught on the lip of the riser and make an annoying noise on certain prints depending on where is place on the print bed.
  3. Download “K1 Lid Cover” - Glue this to the back opening of the riser to reduce noise
  4. Download “K1 Lid stoper 2x” - Use Double sided sticky mount to mount it to the left side of the riser outside as show in the photos.
  5.  Unscrew the 2 3M Screw on the top left side of the K1 and replace with 2x 3M x 20mm Screws to secure the lid riser w/hinges to the printer.

Enjoy! and please post your makes! :)

as i said just came up with this 2days ago lmk if there's any improvements i can do.
