Very handy and practical magnetic soldering light. I call it a PCB light pole. Works nice together with magnetic PCB holders. Especially soldering small surface mounted parts.

Printed with standard settings. Arm is printed without supports and the magnetic holder standing vertical with supports. Some say had good results without supports.

Assembly:

Mechanical parts required:

  • Neodymium magnets. Fits best with 16x5mm with screw mounting hole.

  • Two M5x16mm screws.

  • M5 thread tap to thread two holes.

Electronic components required:

  • MINI Toggle Switch ON/ON. Type MTS-102

  • 3.5mm Stereo female socket jack panel mount. Type PJ-392

  • 5mm round LED of your choice. Best with super bright. 3V 20mA.

  • Thin wire of approx. 40cm in length for wiring.

Connect the power to LED through 3.5 mm stereo audio jack.
