Update 2:
Added .step files in case anyone wants to take a shot at modifying :) Kinda messed up a bit, as I'm still learning parametric design
Update:
Added FilmShelf_v3 and FilmShelf120_v3_heavy.
Slightly adjusted tolerances on FilmShelf_v3 for the 135Film. A bit looser, but the other one was quite tight, especially in terms of height if you want to stack multiple.
FilmShelf120_v3_heavy makes the design a bit more sturdy. The originally uploaded file had to fit a tight size limit, which I removed for this edit. So now its a little to wide to fit 3 into a 40cm span, but much more sturdy.
Original Description:
A friend of mine is an avid photographer using analog film. He keeps the film in his fridge and to be able to stack the maximum possible amount of film boxes in his fridge he asked me to design a system for that.
These are that system. The storage shelves are designed to be stackable and sized, so that a set of 3 can be fit into a span of 40cm, which is the width of most standard (european) fridge door shelves.
There are options for both 135 and 120 sized film boxes. The 120 shelves are more fragile and I would recommend something other than PLA, as the thin PLA walls break quite easily (any wider and it would not fit 3 into a 40cm row though). I had great success with PETG.
They have a small lip in the front so the film boxes won't fall out when opening the fridge.
