I created a couple of tracking targets for 3D scanning. Ikea Skadis is used as a Base plate.
Since my 3d Scanner keeps loosing its tracking i came up with the idea of a scanning station.
Inspired by commercial versions i designed tracking targets and put 10mm OD Tracking points on them. It is reccomended to apply tracking points to the base skadis plate too.
You will need:
- Reflective Tracking Points, 11ea per target (10mm outer dia)
- M3 Nuts, 1ea per target
- M3x8 external hex head screws, 1ea per base for target (can be longer)
- Skadis plate
- optional blue tack (for holding scanning subject)
During print of the targets insert a pause to insert the M3 nut into the print.
I printed the targets in a 0.3mm layer heigt in ABS, but it really doesn't matter.
