I purchased a Fox Fork Mud Guard XL, right at the end of the product page, it says this:
If you aren't sure if the Mud Guard will fit, check if your fork has bleeder valve mounts on the backside of each lower leg. If your fork does not have these mounts, then it is not compatible with the FOX Mud Guard product.
Well, shoot… To my annoyance, my forks don't have the bleeder screws installed. Additionally, the shop won't take returns on open items, so an adapter is needed.
2 versions are available:
- Use M4 Screw and washer (1x)
- Use 4" Zip ties (2x)
Tip: Add a support on the bottom of the raised interior portion. Reduces chance of adhesion failure, and provides nicer looking surface.
Stanchion Zip ties - best are the 10" size however, you might get lucky with 6" size.
Rotation: No need to rotate, prints best as presented
Infill: 60% Adaptive Cubic for strength
Brim: Not used
Speed: As slow as possible
Printed in white only for pictures.
