This is for those who have their TV on a full-motion wall mount and want the soundbar mounted below and moving with it. Since I wasn't able to find a commercial solution fitting the rather widely spaced mounting holes on the Canton Smart Soundbar 10, I designed my own.
In addition to the 3D-printed parts, you'll need the following:
- 90cm long standard aluminum profile (20x20mm)
- A pair of right-angled mounting brackets to attach the profile to the VESA mounting points on the TV (e.g. Vogel's 1250)
- T-nuts and screws:
- 2x M4 for the 3D-printed carriages
- 4x M5 or M6 for the right-angeled steel brackets
- Threaded inserts and screws for the 3D-printed parts:
- 4x M3 for the two carriages
- 2x M4 (short version) for the two brackets
How to assemble:
- Mount the two right-angled brackets underneath your existing VESA mount on the lower two fastening points (maintain about 6cm of clearing at the bottom).
- Mount the aluminum profile to the brackets using 2 t-nuts each
- Attach the 3D-printed brackets to the carriages and slide them over the aluminum profile
- Mount the soundbar onto the brackets
- Fix the carriages in position using 1 t-nut each
How to print:
- I opted for PC-CF filament for maximum stability and rigidity
- Make sure to maintain the orientation of the STLs (you'll want the weight pulling along the printed layers, not between them)
- My print settings:
- 0.2mm layer height
- 4 perimeters
- 30% Gyroid infill
