I created this tool to simplify adjusting the extruder gears on the 3D Chameleon.
This can be printed using PLA without supports and with 5-15% infill.
- Remove the Extruder NEMA17 motor from the 3D Chameleon.
- Remove the top extruder gear and loosen the grub screw on the bottom gear.
- Place the Alignment Tool on the Stepper motor securely. The buttons on the bottom should fit into the motor's mounting holes.
- This will move the gear to the exact position needed.
- Tighten grub screw.
- Remove Alignment Tool.
- Install the upper extruder gear on top of the lower gear and tighten the grub screw.
That's it! You can put the 3D Chameleon back together again.
