Decided to take a different approach to organizing my gunpla runners/sprues, hanging them above my work area.
Requires:
- 8 ft of 3/8 in. dowel rod
- 6x M3 machine screws
- Masking tape (used to add flags/labels to runners)
Printed parts:
- 2x base
- 2x corner
- 20x hook
Print settings:
- 0.4 nozzle
- 40% infill (adds weight to the base parts)
Assemble:
- Cut dowel rod to the desired lengths
- 2x 1.5 ft
- 1x 2.5 ft
- Use machine screws to secure the short dowel rods into the base and corner parts
- If you have issues with layer separation, use a pin vise to drill the holes to 2.8mm
- Use a machine screw to secure the long dowel rod into a corner
- Slide hooks on to long dowel rod
- Use a machine screw to secure the long dowel rod into the other corner
