This camera enclosure is for a Sony IMX214 camera sensor board with a USB connector. I purchased the camera from a retail store that deals in Amazon returns and merchandiser liquidations.

This can be purchased from ELPCCTV here - though you can probably find it elsewhere as well.

Originally I printed Xboxhacker's IMX179 enclosure - and found that the standoffs for screws did not match the IMX214. I'm familiar with SketchUp, so I opened the model and created a copy using the tape measure and the scaled units provided by Leetrobotz (2540%).

My model is a little simpler - using squared stand-offs in the corners. Additionally, the cut-outs have a little less “flourish” to them.

Cura did not like my export from SketchUp at first; so it was fixed by Microsoft's 3D Builder app and re-exported.

If you like this - please go throw the original author a like and maybe donate to their Venmo. I don't need your tips.

Per the original modeler's description, you will need:

  • 1pcs Camera Housing
  • 1pcs Housing Lid
  • 1pcs ¼"-20 Nut (Not lock nut)
  • 4pcs 2mm screws

Once you put the nut in the housing, place some electric tape over it so it cannot short out the camera on the bottom.

Printed by my Ender 3 S1.

I used 20% infill (Gyroid) with 3 wall lines and a thickness of 0.8mm. This is standard quality with a height of 0.2mm.

The material is Overture's Silk PLA.
