An Iconic Design Object
This model is a little different from what we usually do in MiniWorld3D. Instead of a landmark or famous building, this is part of a series of objects representing art & design of the world. Together, they decorate a themed room in a miniature mansion!
Besides traditional objects from cultures around the world, the doll house room also has top designer furniture!
Other objects in this series include:
- Amazigh Rug - North Africa
- Boomerang - Australia
- Dala Horse - Sweden, Europe
- Totonac Mask - Mexico, Americas
You can find the full project here, the modular rooms mansion is designed by @skip_per07, main 3D prints and photography by @maisonlumiere_3d using Polymaker3D filaments, and this specific object and everything in the MiniWorld3D travel-themed room was designed by Dany Sánchez. Other renowned designers have decorated other themed rooms!
About Andrés Cacho and the Loma Table
Cacho is a Mexican designer specialized in furniture & woodworking. He studied a Master's degree in woodworking in Japan, and his bachelor's in Industrial Design in Mexico, where he was a classmate of MiniWorld3D founder Dany Sánchez. Together, they worked in many student and client projects, including the inception of MiniWorld3D.
The “Loma” table, meaning “hill” combines Mexican & Asian craftsmanship and styles, as it is a low table meant for sitting on the ground, built without nails or glue in Japanese style--but integrates rugs both under and on top of it as a table mat. The rugs are crafted from naturally dyed wool by Mexican artisans. The assembly resembles a grassy hill to reenact a picnic right at home.
Designer: Andrés Cacho (Querétaro, Mexico 1989-)
