After finding a replacement for the (partially damaged) bead chain for my blinds, I decided to design some weight for new chain, hopefully protecting it from again getting between window and frame if the window slams accidentally. (This destroyed some of the beads of the old chain.)
The chain slot is large enough to smoothly let the connector slip through.
The weight is designed to contain 2 sets of 8 pieces of 5 Euro Cent coins. These included, the resulting total weight will be approx. 90 g, depending on the infill used for printing.
A single M3 x 10 countersunk screw securely holds the two parts together.
You need:
- 1x M3 x 10 countersunk screw
- 16x 5 Euro Cent coins
The (customizable) Fusion 360 model is included, but if you change parameters, expect some rework to be required. ;-)
