Place the dial gauge in the hole (standard 8mm) and adjust it so that it reads zero, then place it on top of the first layer (skirt or brim is mandatory) and take a reading, adjust the Z offset on the printer interface, and measure again on the second pass (peel off the first)
Print with the two feet touching the buildplate so they are completly flat!
