Ikea Alex Draw Edge Protector

I built myself a new deck with the Ikea Alea draw units, but i found i was bashing the bottom edges with the wheels of my chair, and the side edge with the chair arms.   So i deisgned this set to protect them.

I startred off with the short corners, but this soon evolved into the full width set.  

The profile of them all is 1.2mm thick, so is a division of the 0.4mm nozzle and 0.2 layer height.  

Stick them all on with a few strips of double sided tape.  

Ive included the Fusion file if you want to edit tweak them.  Im not a Fusion expert so a little rough round the edges.  

The bottom edge protectors only go under 5mm, so as to hopefully avoid the little feet.  I have the new version of the draws which have the self adhesive feet, and i stuck them close to the corners…hence the 5mm…

Bottom Edge Set : 

For the full bottom set, print the 2 corners first, fit them and then measue the gap between them for the centre piece.  The centre piece is 210mm long, and the corners 75mm wide, which equals the specified width of 360mm.  

I found the manufacturing tollerances of the draws meant i needed to scale the X to 211.5mm or 100.7% to fit nicely.  

Verticle Edge:

I printed the verticle corner vertically, as i liked the look of all the layer lines of all the pieces to be oriented the same way, but it that doesnt bother you, print it flat.  

Short Corners:

This was the first attempt.  It is not handed, so just the one file.  

Top Corner:  

Designed this then realised i didnt need it, but it might be useful.  It is not handed, so just the one file. 

Simple Label:

I though some draw labels would be nice too.  There are other designs out there, but these are very simple, they just slip over the edge.  Write on them with a pen or add a sticky lablel.  They fit either way, so just turn it round if you want to change the label.
