The straw prevents negative pressure in the glass bottle. This means the drink can be drank in a much shorter time.
Only air flows through the straw itself; only the outside of the straw comes into contact with the contents of the bottle. For this reason, I would recommend using PLA and a stainless steel nozzle, as these are particularly food-safe.
The straw can be printed without support material, but a brim should definitely be added due to the warping.
Removing the brim can be very cumbersome, which is why there is also a file that already contains a custom brim. With my slicer settings with a PRUSA i3 MK3S+, I can remove the brim without any tools.
