My home has tall ceilings which means I have to use a pole to replace light bulbs. For years I have used the Unger Flood lightbulb Changer, which is essentially a pole with suction cups used to attack to a light bulb.
When I accidently dropped the pole the platform with the suction cups broke rendering the device useless. Therefore, I created this 3d print model to fix it.
It is a simple fix: the printed device consists of a single unit with a disk and a stem. The stem attaches to the pole and the disk slides into the suction cup holder.
Once printed simply apply super glue to the side tabs and center area of the printed disk so that, once inserted into the suction cup holder, it hardens in place. Ensure that you attach it in place tightly and flat (otherwise twisting the pole to tighten/loosen a lightbulb will be difficult). Then transfer the spring lock from pole and broken stem into the printed device's stem and attack it to the poll.
