Print at your own risk. This is unfinished and has not been tested
7/13/24 Added Cutter Plate Used M3 Nut and M3x8 Bolt to attach to side of printer utilizing hole where the side panel screws into. Need to change print area slightly so the print head doesnt hit te Cutter plate by mistake but you can manually navgate to it with Gcode to cut the filiment. My gcode needs movements from X288 Y283 to X298 Y283 to push the blade in then I go back to X288 Y283 to realse the trigger and then I can begin the filament purge and removal process.
7/12/24 part 2 update Corrected the print but now the extruder lever interferes with the cutter needed to move things in a bit tighter should work now
7/12/24 update
First print attempt tolerance for m3 nuts was way too snug. I ended up pushing the lead screws down and messing up the next layer. I'm redesigning to make it easier to drop those in plus I'm going to orient the parts better so when you upload to your slicer you don't have to mess around with moving them around to lay on the correct faces to print right.
I have created a model for a 3D chameleon that allows for multicolor printing. This model incorporates a filament cutter that operates by tapping the cutter head against the side a few times. The design includes recesses for adding M3 nuts during the print, providing a solid base for M3 bolts to screw into without compromising the print quality. Since this is a work in progress, I haven't had the chance to print and test it yet, but I've completed the model. Additionally, I recommend pausing the print just after the layer for the M3 nut holes when printing the blade holder. Make sure to look at the Filament Cutter 45° model for how to assemble the cutter and what bolts and springs to use.
